Complaints & Questions
The FSCA is the market conduct regulator of financial institutions, that provide financial products and financial services, financial institutions that are licensed in terms of a financial sector law, including banks, insurers, retirement funds and administrators, and market infrastructures, The FSCA assists clients with legislative related complaints dealing with the manner in which the regulated companies conduct themselves and any contravention of the acts by which they are governed.
The FSCA cannot assist with claim disputes and contractual disagreements. For this, you would need to consult the relevant Ombud or Pension Funds Adjudicator. Consumer Education

Information Centre
The primary objective of the Information Centre is to provide access to a specialised information service, specific to the needs of the Financial Services Conduct Authority through effective management of resources in a responsible, cost effective manner.
Unclaimed Benefits
The Registrar of Pension funds provides a central database on the FSCA website to assist members of the public to ascertain through the search engine if there are any unclaimed benefits due to them.

Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) is an outcome based regulatory and supervisory approach designed to ensure that regulated financial institutions deliver specific, clearly set out fairness outcomes for financial customers. Regulated entities are expected to demonstrate that they deliver the following six TFC outcomes to their customers throughout the product life cycle, from product design and promotion, through advice and servicing, to complants and claims handling:

- Customers can be confident they are dealing with firms where TCF is central to the corporate culture
- Products & Services marketed and sold in the retail market are designed to meet the needs of identified customer groups and are targeted accordingly
- Customers are provided with clear information and kept appropriately informed before, during and after point of sale
- Where advice is given, it is suitable and takes account of customer circumstance
- Products perform as firms have led customers to expect, and service is of an acceptable standard and as they have been led to expect
- Customers do not face unreasonable post-sale barriers imposed by firms to change product, switch providers, submit a claim or make a complaint.
